Dan DanesJ. Patrick Bertroche, DO, began Bertroche and Associates in 2001. The goal was to provide great, timely, and knowledgeable service to those seeking psychiatric, chemical dependency, and mental health services. Dr. Bertroche understands that people are sometimes reluctant to see a mental health professional, and seeks to maintain a relaxed, casual, and friendly atmosphere. The therapists are kind and compassionate, and wish to make you feel like you are going to a freind's house.
Dr. Bertroche began his journey as a physician at Des Moines University, School of Osteopathic Medicine. He graduated in 1995, and successfully completed his Family Practice rotating internship at Davenport Medical Center, (now Trinity Medical Center) in Davenport, Iowa. He then went to Wellington Regional Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, and completed one year of Family Practice residency, with an emphasis on Sports Medicine and Addiction. He transferred to University of South Dakota School of Medicine for his Dual Track Psychiatry Residency training, which he completed in August of 2000. He takes a great interest in Psychopharmacology, and at this time is the state's only registered Psychopharmacologist.
Carla Davis, RN, LMHC began her career as a nurse, and since she likes children, became a nurse in the pediatric and adolescent psychiatry units. She completed her LMHC degree, and went into private practice. She then joined Bertroche & Associates in 2006, and has established herself as a very insightful and competent therapist.
Jennifer Van Fosson Roelfs, CADC, LMHC joined Bertroche & Associates in 2007. She has brought her expertise in Chemical Dependency issues to our group. She works for us part time, but we are hopeful that she will change her mind and come with us full time. She brings a powerful knowledge of addiction therapies, and has established herself as a competent, kind, and trustworthy therapist.
Julie Richardson, RN, LMHC began her career as a nurse, and since she likes children, became a nurse in the pediatric and adolescent psychiatry units. She completed her LMHC degree, and went into private practice. She then joined Bertroche & Associates in 2006, and has established herself as a very insightful and competent therapist.
